Tony-Clark
Tony Clark
CEO, NextWave UK

Tony is the founder and CEO of NextWave Consulting and has 30 years of big-firm consultancy, startup, and enterprise experience across business, digital and technology, working with some of the world’s leading banks and financial institutions.

Tony has worked at Accenture, m.a.partners, and was a founding team member at Crossbridge. More recently, as Synechron MD and Head of the UK business, Tony ran the UK Consulting, Digital and Technology practices, growing the UK regional business from 60 heads in London in 2015 to $70m revenue and 950 heads across UK and India today.

Tony is a passionate advocate and industry speaker on all things digital and has a strong industry network. He is a board advisor to two London fintechs and a mentor to aspiring professionals at Generation Success events. 

At NextWave, Tony manages the overall operations and sets the company's strategic direction.

David
David Aston
CEO, NextWave-Infinium NL

David has 30+ years experience in Financial Markets, is one of the Founders of the NextWave Group and is the CEO and Founder of NextWave-Infinium, our Dutch based business that services our EU based clients.Based in Amsterdam since 2004, he has an in-depth knowledge of The Netherlands and the European Finance sector. He is responsible for the NextWave business in Europe.

David has an extensive track record of successfully delivering highly complex, high-profile transformation programs for tier-1 banks. Combining his passion for Finance with a strong entrepreneurial drive, David has also played leading roles in helping to launch, build and scale niche consultancies, growing businesses to in excess of 150 FTE, across multiple locations. An active mentor, supporting numerous tech start-ups, David speaks English, French and Italian.

Iain
Iain Ivey
Founder, NextWave UK

Iain is a founding partner of NextWave and has 30 years of Financial Services experience in business change, technology delivery, data and architecture across Finance, Risk, Operations and Front Office. Iain has held senior roles in Technology and Global Markets Operations at HSBC for 11 years. Prior to that, Iain was a Partner at Detica and m.a.partners (a niche Financial Markets consultancy.

Iain has spent his career in consulting and industry in both technology and business change. He has had technology roles across multiple functions and is a specialist in shaping and managing strategic large-scale programmes.

Iain is skilled in simplifying complex scenarios, managing conflicts and interests in order to enable delivery. At NextWave, he is both a co-founder and co-leads the Data practice while also helping Tony and Charles manage the business direction. 

Charles
Charles Rustin
CGO, NextWave UK

Charles is Founding Commercial Partner & Chief Growth Officer at NextWave. He is responsible for developing key client and partner relationships while guiding the strategic growth and people agenda of the business. Charles has 20+ years’ consultancy experience in financial services across Banking, Asset & Wealth Management and Insurance supporting clients with business, technology and regulatory transformation.

Charles was previously Co-owner of S&H Consulting where  he guided strategic growth and was responsible for day-to-day management of the business. Charles is a trusted advisor to C-Suite & Senior Leadership, helping them build future facing businesses. He is passionate about shaping high-performing teams and mentoring new talent. Prior to his career in Financial Services, Charles wrote an award-winning PhD in International Relations.

At NextWave, Charles leads the Transformation practice and collaborates, measures and provides support for growth initiatives by staying ahead of client needs.

Natalie Behan
Managing Director, NextWave US
 
 
A seasoned entrepreneur and strategist, Natalie is the Managing Partner of NextWave Americas.

Previously, Natalie co-founded the risk consulting firm Efficient Frontiers International. As Chief of Staff, she played a pivotal role in scaling the firm to over 200 people in three years.

 Natalie first worked with the NextWave team in 2021, when she joined Tony Clark in London as the Interim COO. She was responsible for creating structure, systems, and processes that remain in place today. She pursued her MBA at Duke University from 2021 to 2023, remaining in close contact with the firm.

 In 2023, Natalie re-joined the NextWave team with the objective of expanding its American footprint. Passionate about shaping high-performing teams and delivering excellence to clients, Natalie consistently strives to achieve outstanding results.

At NextWave Americas, Natalie oversees all operations.

 
Phil
Phil Kent
Partner, NextWave UK

Phil leads NextWave Consulting's Digital & Automation practice, managing a large team of consultants across their work with clients, primarily using Appian and Alteryx to automate manual processes.

Phil and his team have successfully delivered automations across FTSE 100 companies, private equity firms and leading global banks, realising business outcomes of reduced operational risk, improved performance, lower operational costs and sustainable cultural change.

Phil has 20 years+ of Financial Services experience, delivering business transformation and process excellence across leading European banks including HSBC, Credit Suisse and Santander. Phil most recently led the transformation portfolio for the global business CFOs at HSBC including Product Control. Prior to this, at Credit Suisse, Phil held various IT leadership roles including Derivatives IT, Trade Management IT and European CIO for the Investment Bank.

Phil has spent his career hands-on across the front and back office with roles covering E-Commerce, Trading Risk & Pricing, Credit & Market Risk, Finance, Product Control, Reference Data and High-Performance Compute.

Helen

Helen Bull

Partner, NextWave-Infinium NL

Helen leads our Transformation practice and primarily works with large corporate clients. She has extensive experience of operating at Board-level and in the financial services and corporate industries in the UK, Germany, and Netherlands.

Helen has a track record of successfully delivering complex transformation and change management programs across Finance, Procurement, and Regulatory functions. More recently, Helen worked with ABN Amro, the Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS), and Koninklijke Philips. Helen is a fully certified project manager, mentoring and training project managers and PMO teams.

Helen is a dual British and New Zealand national and English speaker with a working knowledge of Dutch, having moved to the Netherlands in 2003 from the UK.

Yann-Pablo
Yann-Pablo Terreyre
Partner, NextWave-Infinium NL

Yann-Pablo has over 16 years’ experience in the Banking sector. During his career, his responsibilities have included developing detailed plans, designing and documenting processes, designing performance metrics and target operating models all with a primary focus on regulatory change. His expertise in banking and technology knowledge means he is able to act as the bridge between business and technology teams, operating on both a local and Global level, ensuring stakeholders come together to achieve a successful delivery outcome. He has held positions and conducted engagements with clients such as ING, Rabobank, HSBC, Barclays and JP Morgan.

Kirstie
Kirstie Galloway
Partner, NextWave UK

Kirstie has 30 years financial services experience in business change, technology delivery and transformation within top-tier Investment Banking and Asset Management Institutions including Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan and HSBC. Kirstie was the CIO of HSBC Asset Management for over 3 years and has also held a variety of senior Global Head of IT roles on the sell-side at HSBC, including global responsibility for KYC/client onboarding, compliance, financial crime, data, global market sales and research and operational utilities. Kirstie is a creative, forward-thinking, and results-driven transformation agent who possesses deep commercial experience.

At NextWave, Kirstie focuses on the leadership and management of global technology portfolios and functions.

Mark Turner
Partner, NextWave UK
Mark has 25 years of experience in financial services across investment banking, wealth management and retail banking. He has extensive experience in delivering complex transformations, alongside meeting ongoing business requirements in multi-national organisations, managing at Board level and communicating with key stakeholders.
 
Previously, Mark was Global Head of IT Strategic Regulatory Initiatives at UBS and has also held C Suite positions across Barclays and Santander. Additionally, Mark has represented financial institutions with key regulators (Fed, FINMA & PRA), covering strategic risk, finance and operations regulatory portfolios. Mark is skilled in leading risk, operations and technology functions to develop best in class operating models and underpinning technology.
 
At NextWave, Mark works with clients to develop and deliver operating & process model design, data & information management strategy, and complex risk, finance and data transformation.
 
Toby
Toby Smith-Cullen
Partner, NextWave-Infinium NL

Toby joins our partner group and brings with him about 20 years of experience in transformation and innovation in the financial industry. Toby grew up in Leiden, in the Netherlands and has Dutch and British nationality. Toby joins us from ING where he worked as their Fintech partnership lead, connecting the various business to high impact Fintechs. Prior to that he helped build the ING transformation office. Before joining ING in 2006, Toby worked in London and Hong Kong delivering change at several banks. He began his career at Accenture after completing his Master of Science at Delft University of Technology. Toby is an enthusiastic triathlete and has completed a number of Ironman 70.3 races.

Phil Sturmer
Partner, NextWave UK

Phil has worked for both buy and sell side institutions, as well consulting firms Synechron, m.a.Partners and Crossbridge, and has a broad experience across capital markets functions and process with firms including LGIM, Morgan Stanley, HSBC, RBS, Investec. Phil has successfully established and grown digital ecosystem partnerships and understands how new technology and techniques can combine to bring about innovative change, working closely with business, technology, data, experience design and research leaders. The green agenda is a more recent interest where Phil is active in learning about ESG and Sustainable Finance development and innovation, and follows the major global industry groups, leaders, regulators, and the development of regulation and taxonomies. 

At NextWave, Phil co-leads the Data practice alongside Iain, helping clients drive growth through insight and trusted data-informed decisions. He manages a team of consultants who primarily use Quantexa to implement contextual decision intelligence solutions across multi-domains and use cases. 

Erik
Erik Rowbotham
Partner, NextWave-Infinium NL

Erik is a change delivery leader, advisor and program manager in the financial services and consulting industries. His experience spans product, program, and project delivery, this includes internal (up to C-level) and third-party (vendor/supplier) engagement. This experience is academically complemented by an accounting and business background. His previous clients include Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS), Direct Line Group (DLG) Insurance, HSBC, London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG) and Rabobank. Some of his skills include senior stakeholder management (internal and external), strategic thinking, technology implementation, multi-disciplinary team management, transaction reporting issue management, transparent and empathetic working style, pragmatic, and can ‘read between the lines’ in political environments. He is a British national, based in the Netherlands, who has worked internationally, with many different nationalities and cultures.

At NextWave Infinium, Erik is the Regulation & Compliance Practice Lead. This has involved working with, and communicating to, senior stakeholders (managing board members, steering committees, tribes/areas etc.), building teams, and solving problems. Currently, he  mentors individuals, stakeholders and multi-functional teams, whilst empathetically introducing change, governance and structure via traditional, agile and bespoke methodologies.

Ken Young

Ken is a Board Advisor and Partner at NextWave Americas.

Previously, Ken built and managed the North American region of a midsized global consulting company specializing in capital markets trading technology. Based in New York, Ken built the business to over 200 consultants, located in 5 offices across North America, generating over $30 million in ARR.

Starting his professional consulting career at Accenture, Ken has held various positions as project manager, technical architect, business analyst, developer, and as programmer, building technology solutions for large money center banks.

Ken has over 25 years of experience in working for smaller, niche consultancies focused on the capital markets industry and is an expert in managing large and complex technology and business deployments, practice management, and delivery oversight. 

At NextWave Americas, Ken's role is guiding the business’ strategic decisions by leveraging his expert knowledge and valuable experience.

Tom Hutchings
Commercial Partner, NextWave UK

Tom's knowledge spans both buy and sell-side firms across business, technology and regulatory transformation. He collaborates with the wider Partners and Practice leads to drive digital acceleration, leverage data and solve complex transformation issues helping clients accelerate growth whilst improving efficiency, regulatory compliance and controls.

Previously Tom has worked for several boutique Management Consultancies, including S&H Consulting in London as an Engagement Lead and has spent the last 3 years as Head of Global Business Development for a Capital Markets Management Consultancy, driving growth across clients in the UK and US. Tom is passionate about providing clients with high-quality, tangible outcomes that lead to lasting relationships.

Emma has six years of experience in both operations and recruitment within the financial services industry.

At NextWave, Emma is Head of Business Operations in the UK, managing recruitment, working with other senior staff on strategic planning, ensuring that staff are all aware of operational best practices and implementing new technologies.

Chief People Officer, Wiavgen

Suresh is a People & Operations leader specialising in building talented teams & scalable organisations. He has more than 15 years of experience in the field of HR & Operations and is proficient in formulating and developing HR strategy plans.

His areas of expertise include Talent Acquisition, Wellness Plans, Employee engagement, Compliance and Audits, facility Management, Family participation, and social cause initiatives. He is a passionate people-centric person who was awarded the HR Leader Award for four consecutive years from Great Place to Work Institute for creating a great working environment. He also won the top HR minds India award from World HRD Congress. 

At Waivgen, Suresh is Chief People Officer (CPO). He will be responsible for building the India team and creating a positive culture to meet every business objective.
